The process typically involves a thorough cleaning and decontamination of the vehicle’s paint, followed by a careful application of the ceramic coating in small sections. After the coating is applied, it requires curing time to bond effectively with the paint.

Carbon Collective Ceramic Coatings do not require any special curing processes. We recommend always applying the coating in temperatures above 5 degrees celsius, being cautious of cold panel temperatures in the winter months.

We recommend 2 hours between layers of Ceramic Coating. Whether this is a pairing such as our Molecule 9H Ceramic Coating (Base Layer) and Nero Self-Healing Ceramic Coating (Top Coat) or applying two coats of the same coating (for increased coverage and durability). Two layers can applied to areas which will be hit harder by road grime, dirt and salt such as bumpers, arches, side skirts and bonnets to further safeguard your vehicle.

Once the application process has been complete, we also recommend to not contact wash (hand washing) the vehicle for 7 days after application, to ensure that the ceramic coating has time to naturally cure and harden over this period. Think of this as allowing the surface to cure as you would allow paint, lacquer or glue dry.
